Our developer’s team in Codescrum has answered people’s frequently asked questions about Ruby on Rails on the internet. Check this out and tell us your answers!

  1. What excites you most about RoR’s future?

Miguel, technical director: Well, Ruby on Rails future is mostly going to be about making faster apps with higher default quality as time moves on. What I mean is I like the fact that Ruby/Rails always evolves in a way that makes it easier to build apps with best practices and consistency baked in. The defaults are almost always what you need, and the framework evolves to accommodate the type of apps and features expected from users.

2. What inspired you to become a Ruby on Rails developer?

Miguel: I became a Ruby on Rails developer when I learnt about the simplicity and understandability that Rails gives you to create your apps fast and in a way that you could model pretty much anything you like. Ruby lets the developer do whatever he/she wants, as long as this person knows what he/she is doing. It also allows you to automate and abstract things very easily. The benefits of metaprogramming are also one of the biggest sources of inspiration to learn and to use the Ruby language.
