Like many industries, the outsourcing industry is changing to adapt to the new post-COVID-19 dynamics, but what are these changes and how will they affect the industry?

With the pandemic now affecting all aspects of business, are the current outsourcing practices sufficient to succeed?

If you are worried about the future of outsourcing, don’t be. Several reports, such as the one published by Global Industry Analysts, point to a good scenario ahead for the outsourcing industry, as they predict the market will reach the $220 billion mark in 2020. Also, according to a 2019 Statista report, the market size of the global outsourcing market amounted to 92.5 billion US dollars.

Regarding current practices, the COVID-19 pandemic has pushed outsourcing companies so that they are now at the forefront of technology. Old systems, poor network connectivity, and UPS backup are no longer sufficient in the new normal service. The industry must address digital challenges more than ever and provide the tools that enable personnel to work remotely and collaborate virtually.

Certain trends are expected to completely change after the lockdown, and digital transformation or business automation will be a widely-adopted strategy for outsourcing businesses.
