How to create better software through The Precision Culture (or the art of becoming better all the time)
Here at Codescrum, we follow a certain discipline that helps us to keep working at being the best all the time, and we have called it The Precision Culture. These are practices that help make us (not only the software developers, but also the whole company) consistent, clear, agile, effective, and better at problem-solving in general. We hope it helps you too!
Seven Basic Principles
- Check that everything you write, say and see is clear.
- Reduce ambiguity in communications as soon as you notice it.
- If you are writing about a technical subject, give things their technical name, not the colloquial equivalent.
- Be self-consistent with your knowledge. Try to avoid contradictions as much as you can.
- Learn concepts, not syntax.
- Cultivate your own consistency and style.
- Expect the same from your team.
